Let's face it, if they get a salary cap put in place, they just solved the longevity issue. AMR likes to have control and they don't want to give it up to some non-owned regional if they don't have to. Eagle is in bK too. Costs will be cut all over the place and put us in a much more competitive position then we already are. Those new planes will be coming here, it's just a matter of how much they can beat us down with concessions and threats of furloughs first.
AMR wants nothing to do with Eagle. I guess you missed that whole spin-off try. You are deeply misled if you think AMR can't keep control if they don't have a wholly-owned. Ask the regional guys flying under the DAL tent. Momma DL will take flying and airplanes away from you at will. Then DL lets the regionals duke it out to get the flying back at a cheaper cost. I understand you want to believe that there's this big bright shiny light at the end of the bk tunnel for Eagle, AA included, but I've been through the whole bk chop shop and you better make sure you're strapped in. It's a long drawn out process. Pilots like to think they know it all until they're the last ones to find out! Always remember, plan for the worst and hope for the best!Originally Posted by love2av8
AMR will get their scope relief from APA and then they will dangle new planes in front of Eagle while we all bend over and take it.
