I'm sitting in my office today taking care of what Skyhigh would call a real job...lol...And reflected on what I did over the past week with my so called hobby...lol...I flew from the States over to Germany...Nice flight with an awesome cockpit and cabin crew...Went out for dinner...No freeload'n flight attendants at this dinner table...The next day we flew down to Turkey...We had a beautiful day flying over Eastern Europe and the Black Sea...Another night out on the town...I picked up the tab on this night...Flew back down to the Middle East and then back to Germany...Flew back down to the Middle East and got a few Americans home from the crises down there along the Med...What a beautiful place...So sad people have to be killing each other over what...? How we have forgotten...But it's still a beautiful part of the world...Back up to Germany...For another great night on the town...One more flight back across the pond at dusk...Flying across southern Greenland along the way with a spectacular view of the mountains...Not so great landing back in the States...Well there will be next time...lol...It's 1030am now Wednesday...I've pushed paper, written checks, looked over pending contracts, dealt with numerous people over the phone...Business wise the week is so, so, but the potential is there for...Maybe?...it's up to you guys/gals we call the consumer...For some reason it's not called the customer anymore...The phone has not stopped once since I've written this post...7 more days...And counting until I get out again and enjoy the world...Just me and my jet...Well, "their" jet...It's better to play with someone else's toys...lol

Thank you, Heavy, for a light-hearted post. We need a little humor and fun every once in a while.

For my part, I continue to read both The Seattle Times AND The Seattle PI for entertainment. I really ought to get my head examined.

Today, the PI talked about how our ever-vigilant agricultural terrorist busters intercepted a slimy stowaway at SeaTac. This "credible threat" was found in a box of Bulgarian mushrooms off a British Airways flight from London. 62 boxes of mushrooms had to be destroyed and the slug was killed and dissected after being sent to a federal lab. The slug arrived in the United States without documentation and had to pay the ultimate price.

Thanks for that post of your trip. Its a much needed positive view and reminder of the benefits of working in this industry with all the nay sayers that we read from day to day (not saying I'm innocent of this ). It also reminds me of why I miss flying so much and am so desperate to get back in. Aside from the paycheck.

I'm the CEO/Owner of a Corporation that is involved with several small companies...The companies include merchandise and apparel that is sold in stores all across the United States to Aviation related services...Currently employing 37 people that I am very proud to have on my payroll...I was also involved in a Marketing company that included a client base of Fortune 500 companies...But that was too much for the returns so I sold it...I've also signed a letter of intent for a corporate aircraft that will be on a certificate...Haven't decided which country to have the certificate yet...Tax reasons and opportunities outside the US are better these days...I will tell you...Flying is much more fun...

That sounds like work. I did an Aruba trip. Topless beach, beer, snorkeling, good food, iguanas everywhere, 4.5 hour leg each way. A mini-vacation.
