I have about 700ish TPIC. Won’t start logging any more until at least 8-10 months from now

Figure about 5 years to 1000 TPIC if you came over now (4 years to upgrade after SOC and a year to get remaining 300 TPIC). Others can refine that number up or down. It's hard to say what progression at this company will look like after we get a single operating certificate and can bid across all the fleets. There's only as much drama as you choose to get involved with, so you can stay pretty chill if you choose to.

You think the 737 upgrade will go that senior?

My guesstimate….widebody upgrades will settle in around 4.5 to 5.5 years….narrowbody will settle in around 2.5-3 years IF, and that’s a big IF, we keep them and the fleet remains at current levels. Most of the churn will still be in the bottom 12-24 months.

Nah. But the 737s don't fly that much either. So with SOC 737 upgrade will probably land at around 2.5 or 3 years as wide-body FOs take first available upgrade. Then figure training time, etc. There's a decent chance he could get his time in 3.5 to 4 years. I figured it all washes out to about 5 years.

My estimates may be a little pessimistic.

Agree. There are a few juniorish 767 captains and a lot of seniorish widebody FOs eyeing the 777. But most movement will be with the bottom few years.

Not true. The 777 schedules are absolutely awful right now. 4-5 laps around the world in 17 days. Block 80+ a month. Long term the body just can’t do that.
