Some of us got hired with low time, so even the upgrade is still a bit far since we had an entire year of 10-15h a month pretty much.
Some guys went back for a new checkride since they couldn't consolidate in 4 months. That is not a problem anymore tho.

I’m thinking of applying to Atlas but I want my next place to be it. I was wondering if anyone there can help me out with a few questions.
- Does the 17-day schedule improve with seniority or are you only off 13/14 days regardless with all the lines?
- What are some typical schedules on the 747? Number of days offs, length of trips, etc.
- Is there a trip trade window with open time or between pilots?
- Under the new CBA, what’s the retirement contribution? Profit sharing? Long-term/short-term disability coverage?

I think most of your questions have answers right here on this thread. For updated information, I would suggest going back 1-2 years.

747: leave on day one back on day 17.

Seniority: you get better schedules in that you can have a week on or week off.

Trip trades are manually done with phone calls/emails. No trip trade system like other carriers have.

Retirement: 60% 401k match to 10% employee contribution.

Just deleted 76 independent emails regarding OT opportunities for the past 6 days. Of course it depends on seniority, base and your availability, but it seemed steady at this juncture. Others can chime in on how often they are able to snag OT and their years of service here.

Overtime is a seniority based system.
So is outbasing which is a 30 day stint paid at 145hrs. (CRT).
So unless you’re lucky that’s a no.
I mean we’ve had 1st year score an outbase but it’s rare.
If you’re considering Atlas then budget min. monthly garantee.
In my case that was still $3 Brazilian above what I was making at the time at my previous 121.
Before the pay increased.

* Its real,
Millions < Trillion < Gazillion < Brazilian

The opportunities are there, but you have to have seniority. I’ve haven’t had much luck, the time I was trying to get some I couldn’t. The time that I was offered OT, I couldn’t do it.

What does anyone think about the future of Atlas? Growth? Stagnation? Gaining/losing contracts?

There must be a lot of changes with the joint CBA and a seniority list integration. Longer upgrade times perhaps?

I know all the answers will be speculation, but anything helps. Trying to determine if I should come to Atlas or continue staying put at the regional until I get more TPIC.
