Quote: yes, vote NO.

Sounded like the MEC was caught off guard when he was questioned on what would happen with min days off if PBS falls though.

All in all they just said how we are among the top tier when it comes to compensation and couldnt push for more than what we got.
My impression was they seem eager to get this passed and behind us because the MEC thinks they have the company over the barrel on PBS and will be able to exact significant gains for it.

They also seem to think that with the gains they expect from PBS we will have a very good contract.

I just have doubts the company is going to give them everything they think on PBS.
Don't think that PBS is the answer to all of life's problems. Ask the NC if the company knows about the unstacking option.
I don't feel like I'm leaving all that much on the table by voting no. I'll take my chances and wait for a better contract. If it takes a year, the company is only hurting themselves. My guess is that it will be much sooner. I'm a no vote.

I asked that question to the PBS trainer. He said part of them rewriting section 25 will include unstacking limitations.

If it gets voted down, neither the company or union will know what to do sweeten the pot because this is exactly what the pilots originally said they wanted. What precisely would make it a yes vote?

QOL improvements... I wont but all my eggs in the PBS basket.

I have already voiced that to my rep good sir.

SPECIFICALLY. Saying "better pay" or "a better contract" means literally nothing.

It doesnt matter what I want. They already made it clear that they wont touch section 25 until PBS.

But I would like min days off to increase by 1.
4:30-5:00 min credit per day.
Better 401k.
Stronger language for using reserves on last day.
Swapping AR and short/long call between reserves.

They could do better with the reserve rules. I'd like to see a slightly better 401k contribution. Up the retention bonuses to something respectable. And 12 min days off. If they could knock a few more percentage off the insurance premiums, that would also please me...maybe 25-27% on our end. Our pay rates are pretty good...I gotta say that; however, we should be asking for more while the industry is hurting for pilots. Our union is headed in the right direction...just a little more in some of these areas, and I'd be swayed. And if they did these things, they would attract pilots...even FO's that knew they wouldn't upgrade in 18 months. You'd especially attract pilots who live in our domiciles.
