Trying to decide between the two any thoughts?

I recall there being somewhere on the forum how to apply for PSA but cannot find it, the link in profiles is inop. Could someone point me there?

Three questions you need to ask.

Where do you live?
If you have to commute where is the shortest?
Lastly, what is important to you? (upgrade, qol or career progression)

Psa has a flow with us air I think so when they start hiring next year you are guranteed a job there. No such gurantee at xjt. Plus xjt is about to merge with asa and from the way both groups are behaving I wouldn't want be there.

What makes you say that? You're judging two pilot groups based on a few
idiotic posts on this forum? I know I would rather be at XJT/ASA than PSA, because I think the meger will actually be pretty decent and a good joint
contract will come from this.

I'm sorry I just don't think that will happen. Asa pilots are already willing to cave on everything and skywest will play everyone against each other, I expect status quo on acontract. @ psa you have a guranteed job at real airline. Do 5 years at psa then move on. That right there is worth more than anything.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you have no clue what you are
talking about. I can see that from some of your previous posts.

"@ psa you have a gurantee job at real airline."

That statement is 100% wrong! The great "perk" I mean joke, that you speak of is "preferiental hiring". You are not guaranteed anything...In fact past history has proven that being a PSA or Piedmont pilot is a significant disadvantage of actually setting on property at mainline. You must still interview and get hired. Then PSA management must release you and that requires management to staff the airline properly. Management just released 4 to mainline and "promises" to release 12 more sometime this year. If US Airways is your goal then go somewhere else.

it is just my opinion based on what I see here and other sites. Usually the more vocal prounion guys post on forums while most old timer company guys don't. Since I see 90% of the posts by asa people willing to cave I can only assume that is the majority based on stats.

I'm already at Xjt and I like it here just fine, no complaints, Xjt is hiring through the end of the year I've heard so that is also a plus....however I live in CLT and to be based at home would be awesome, I had also heard that PSA has preferential hiring and I would love to end up at usair....
How many is psa going to hire and in what base? Any info on the preferential hiring?
