Pay increase? VX pilots are lucky their pay isn't CUT due to the Company's financial problems. After all, they have ZERO protection from that.

You go to VX, you get what they decide to give you and don't complain about it.

Quote: I have a quick question on Pay.. Has the company provided a pay increase since starting up? Other than the yearly (Step increase) is there discussion about a possible pay increase?

Thanks
Yes, for the last few years there has been a summer pay bump for everyone. It varies by seat and longevity, 3 to 5 bucks an hour.

Where are you at now fellow blueridger?

I have a question about VX interviewing.
Is it preferable for an applicant to have his eyebrows plucked or waxed before showing up for the interview?
(just kidding guys! It looks like a nice operation!)

Some info for those with no internal recommendation. The list of upcoming interview names on the chief pilots window show 8 out 26-28 with no internal rec. So there is definitely hope for those that don't have a rec.!

Got the email today for my interview! So pumped up right now. If any of you VXers want to toss me a tip or two, please shoot me a PM. Otherwise, I'm just going to keep thinking positive and hope for that job offer!

Smile a lot. Be yourself. Have your stories ready. There are a lot of Tell Me about a time when.....questions. Go through your logbook and have them ready. DON'T WEAR A TIE!!! Lot's of great gouge at will fly for food. Engage and be yourself. If you are quiet and don't really engage, chances are the interviewers won't either. Have fun. The guys doing the interviews want to hire you, otherwise you wouldn't be there. Remember that even though it's a relaxed environment, you are still being interviewed....so save the fat FA jokes for some other time. Have fun. Seriously. You are hired. Just don't give them an excuse to change their mind. Good luck and congrats! I would have PM'd this, but I think you need more posts. PM me (when u can) if you have more questions.

Oh yeah....Cheryl Cage's Checklist for Success is still a fantastic resource. Don't ramble...all of your tell me about a time stories should have a beginning, a middle and an end....with a positive outcome. Good luck and hope to see you soon!
