Their contract starts about a year from now. I don't believe for a second United made this decision based on commutair...
Agreed. United wants C5 to have 60+ jets. With their partial ownership they are positioned to make a lot of money with C5 flying their airplanes.

The most unfortunate player here is ExpressJet. CommutAir is growing and already operating 145s out of EWR, and now Air Wisconsin is threatening in ORD. If I were flying a 50 seater over there I'd be very concerned. Not sure what's going on between XJT and United. I always thought they were one of the better regionals out there.

United did advertise that they are expanding their operations. Slight chance this could be new flying versus covering for someone else.

What's United's 50 seat scope clause? Are they maxed out and this is just shifting flying from one regional to another or are they adding 50 seat flying?

So around 490 50 seaters according to APC

Did a new seniority list come out today? How many pilots do you have towards the 600 goal?

No details yet but expect a few AWAC planes to go into service in 3-4 months with the full transition from AAL to UAL BY February 2018.

We already have aircraft parked due to reduced AAL flying. New paint and FAA paperwork is all the need to get them flying.

Is standby priority based on your first leg or leg by leg? I'm looking at going to the union thing tomorrow but EWR > IAD is a nightmare and it shows me as a SA5X instead of a SA0X which I should be on our metal.
