Did you try calling air wisconsin directly yet? Someone already mentioned that to you on here.

There aren't really many tricks like calling. I am not sure that will help. Probably won't hurt but I don't think they are making it intentionally tough. It's certainly not a place where they are looking for "extra effort" and to see who is willing to grovel for a job.

They want quality people who have some relevant experience. And I believe they are now looking for ATP mins. So if you don't have that it might be an issue.

The ATP mins are going to really really put a squeeze on the whole regional industry and some of the weaker companies are going to have trouble hiring pilots.

I called directly, and had an interview offer through the phone. Few other guys in my class did the same exact thing. Then again, we all had ATP minimums/ATP with previous 121/135/Instructing backgrounds.

Class dates
Anyone know when they are going to start the next class? I believe the last class they had was in April. Also is ORF still the junior base. I'm wondering if closure of RDU is going to change that?

ORF is still the junior base and is likely to remain that way. Closing RDU will result in a shift and we don't really know how it will look in a few months but ORF is the most difficult commute, by far, of all the domiciles so for any commuters it is generally not a great option.

But if you live in base it's a ton of fun and a pretty good base.

As to the comment about calling? Good info! I would not have expected that but hey, whatever works! Welcome!

In CLT at the Wingate now. There have been plenty of new hires running around here the last few days. It sounds like as soon as they have AQP up and going the brisk hiring pace will resume.

Another interesting observation from today...
While waiting for the hotel van to pick us up at the training center an out of uniform gentlemen with an AA crew badge walked past us. He made a phone call outside (cell signal in the training center sucks) and then walked back into the building. Let the speculation begin...

Maybe he was there for some of the fine cuisine in the cafe?
