Anyone know the next few conferences, job fairs that United will be at?

Quote: This all depends on what aircraft you're flying. If you're flying anything bigger than a Saab, I'd recommend sim prep. Hand-flying through 10,000 and on approaches isn't enough to prepare you for this interview. Hope this helps...
Who cares what you fly. The ability to go into TK the day prior, get in the actual sim you likely will be in the next day, get a feel for the sim and the chance to see and practice the interview profile several times is worth its weight in gold. I don't think I have spoke to one person that has not said the confidence they got in the prep was key to their success.

Thank you, I completely agree with you! I fly the Emb-170/175, so similar characteristics to the 737 but in order to prepare I'm going to do a lot of hand flying and the sim and interview prep before the interview. Of course I'm still waiting for the Hogan link but I like thinking ahead. By the way, on average, how long does it normally take from the initial "You've been selected" e-mail to get the Hogan link? Thanks again!

Hey guys, running down UAL like a mad-man, but no dice. 8,000TT, 6,000 Jet, 1,100 Jet PIC. Boeing/Heavy Experience. No 4 year. Any shot? I see the value of a Degree at certain beginning points in one's career to show your metal, but at what point should that fade in light of your demonstrated ability to do the job?

Well, it's been said before. Sorry, but at the moment, there are many applicants with those same quals or better, and a 4-year degree. It may change, I'm thinking sooner than later, but for now, it won't stack up very well with someone who has it.

I don't think so. Its a requirement.

Technically, I think it is a "preferred qualification".

There is hope! I have the same quals and will be in one of the April classes. I'm working on the online basketweaving degree.
