If I were hiring for a major airline, and my feeders couldn't recruit new blood, I would actively recruit from my competitors' feeders, and not my own.

...and if everyone recruits from their competitors, because no one can get new pilots at their own feeders, it is called "Pilot Shortage"

So, with the release of the list, can someone shed light on off the street hiring and what the order of seniority will be for bases these days?

UAL is still stating that they plan to "hire" 60/mo. for the rest of the year. Any slots not taken by furloughed sUAL pilots accepting recall will go to new hires. UAL has stated that ALL of the remaining furloughed pilots will be given a recall after ISL but nobody knows how many will accept considering that they have 10 years to bypass.

At both divisions the unfilled vacancies have consistently been EWR/JFK and IAH. There is no reason to expect that to change with the ISL.
