Just finished CQ in ATL.....this jives with what the training folks have been told. They would like to start training in January so expect interviews late 2013. This allows "new hires" to help staff for summer 2014. It feels like we are getting close. If SD says something then it will be the kiss of death.
I am a believer in timing and luck as well. Get your app in as early as possible and continuously update it. We are bound by contract to bring a number of guys in through flow agreements. This will initially limit our ability to hire off the street guys. Our contract is written so that DAL interviews 35% (I believe this number is accurate) DCI guys. This is actually lower than the percentage they will interview. In 2010, it was 50/50 interviewed and I believe DAL hired a higher percentage of civilian than they did Mil. You guess is as good as mine.
