Quote: Any word on the June 16th class drop? I know there was some speculation that the available list wasn't going to be available until class started on the 16th because of an email snafu in the June 2nd class. Was curious if that was the case.
There were ATL 7ER slots that went unfilled on the latest AE award. I believe about a dozen should be available to new hires soon. Enjoy

Amazing times. "I don't care what you want, you'll fly the ER -- and like it!"

I was told the 7ER, based on this years new hire classes, goes very senior in class whenever its available. Its very interesting how each pilot group thinks. United 76T and American 75/76 MIA go very junior, all the way at the bottom, but the prestige/quality of trips/etc of flying the 7ER at DAL keeps it senior despite knowing they'll be on reserve forever.

Never been, wife wants to go. Is it worth a visit? It's going to go senior next summer when it pays 15:45.

Something that may skew that equation at DAL vs. the others is that reserve at DAL seems to be A LOT (less worse depending on perspective) than the others.

Last 6 guys in my class got the ER. If you like 75 redeyes, go for the ER as a newhire.

I can count on one hand how many red eyes I have done in the past 4 years. The 320 & 737 prob do just as many redeyes.

What's the best seat for an NYC new hire that wants to 1.) make as much as possible, and 2.) not do any red eyes/night flying(through the night)?

I live 30 min drive to both airports.

Consensus seems to be to bid md88 and get senior on that over reserve on a larger airplane.
