Quote: 2200TT, 1800 Fighter, IP, FE, ATP, traditional guardsman, internal recs, and I'm doing some regional time. I didn't get the United email and haven't heard from US Airways. I can't think of anything else that will enhance my resume.
If you can get a res/guard gig that keeps you current, there's no need to go to the regionals. If you can't get the res/guard job, go to the regionals, or any other flying job for currency. I've seen it done both ways (though a lot more often through the reserves).

Or do both like Pancake. He's showing that he wants to do whatever it takes to land his dream job.

I assume you have to do what you have to do. I just retired after 20 years on 1 April, 3025 hours/1800PIC/2000ME/etc but no call from United or US Airways. So I'm going with AWAC, start next week in hopes of getting some 121 experience.

I am pretty excited to go to XJT. I know everyone on the regional forums make it sound like the end of the world, but I don't see it that way. However, when I am trying to get on at a major or another corporate gig I want them to look at the line on my resume below the regional job to see where I came from (military). That is really my biggest concern at this point. I guess if it doesn't work out in the end I can just keep living off my wife and keep flying the Pitts.

No offense dude, but I think the way you look at this/your perspective is slightly off.

Like I said, IT WON'T GO AGAINST YOU, IT'LL ONLY BE A POSITIVE.

As well as just about all the apps have the question of "were you in the military?" or "do you have formal military training?". That's ALL they're going to care about.

They're going to know that you have that before you even sit down if they do a resume review.

Got the firm offer today for a CRJ at XJT, pretty stoked to get started.

Congrats Pitts.
Though not in that part of the game - I've never heard anyone say that any P121 time is a bad thing when applying to the majors/legacies.

What I want to know is, will my 121 and military time help me get a job....

Flying your Pitts!

I'll but the gas and the beer.

I just ask those who want to go to pay for fuel ($100-$120 per hour)

Yeah, I know what it costs, that's why I don't have one!

I did fly an S2B many years ago, but then I got an airline job and couldn't afford it anymore...

You'll see.
