Conspiracy theory time!

Yes, I believe it will open in June. Company will be able to determine how many pilots are still interested in Alaska. They will use this data to determine when and what kind of a contract we get. [/conspiracytheory]

Dec 2016, trying to decide if it's worth leaving a mainline that didn't have a delay to start. I like the NW but not sure it's worth leaving where I got picked up right before the Alaska offer and delay in training.

If you have to ask yourself that it's probably not worth leaving. Chances are you'll get better schedules and upgrade faster at wherever you're at now.

Alaska management is going to take the Joint Contract negotiations to arbitration. Arbitrators won't give the pilots industry-leading anything, that is they won't if they every want to get picked to be an arbitrator again in the future for their $4000 a day fee. Look for them to divide the baby in half, making Alaska pilots middle of the pack and quickly leap-frogged by everyone else until they are bottom feeders again. Couple that with being placed at the bottom of the combined seniority lists (yes new hires will be below all Alaska and all Virgin pilots) and it sounds like your decision is an easy one. The tough decisions are for the pilots that have been here for about 4 years. Leave or stay? Anyone junior to that has an easy decision.
