Well, AVA (and vacation cancellations too, if memory serves) available for MD11 CA in MEM for October but NOT the FO seat. If that indicates anything.

My point is, really not enough info to make that insinuation. If he's going to imply Capts are "self serving" and FOs aren't, he really needs to provide more evidence than the number of OT trips. I don't know if Capts are "whoring" or not, I can't tell. But, the number of OT trips in the left seat have been much lower than the right seat seat since before OT was released a week ago. So, how does that fit into the "evidence" of "self serving" Capts. Just saying'.

Everyone now return to your circular firing squads!

Agreed. Not trying to accuse one group or another of anything. Just saying the evidence suggests CA seat MAY be more undermanned than the FO. What relevance that has is questionable at best.

By blockers do you mean guys who stack their trips towards the beginning/end of a month.

Calendar blockers block others from seeing their monthly calendars so that it is not easily see how much they may have padded their schedule or the type of trips.

No. These are folks who choose to block their calendars from the rest of the pilot group. Only the blocker, schedulers and probably a select few in management can view it.

More unfair assumptions. There are other reasons to block one’s calendar, i.e. angry ex wive’s and/or girlfriends who gain access through other FedEx employees.

Sorry--this is Barbara Streisand. When I see a blocked calendar, my default opinion is very negative. First, I check the non-member list. Used to be a high correlation--these days not so much. We all make judgments-and usually by the end of a trip, I understand all too well why that individual blocked their calendar. And it has NEVER been because of an ex-wife. Any FDX pilot allowing an unauthorized individual to do something based on viewing another pilot's calendar puts their multi-million dollar career & future retirement at risk.

Based on your other posts…..you have another reasons for blocking!

How many years are "crazy" ex wives are tracking ex husbands?

How many years do pilots help "crazy" ex wife's track there ex husbands schedule?

The excuse just doesn't add up!
