Id say expect more hiring in the fall, maybe even another 777 class. Counting everyone in the training pipeline, we are staffed +2 FOs for the 5th Triple. I don't see that lasting very long, considering we just lost 4 guys to WGA in 1 week. Guys on the 737 have interviews elsewhere before they even finish training.

It's true boys and girls it really is that bad....the most recent class on the 737 had 8 people, so far 1 quit for family issues during training, 1 went to an LCC and 3-4 just left for WGA with more likely to follow. If your thinking of coming to 737 you better make sure you fully understand what you're getting into…. this is a night freight regional airline run by clowns. During training expect to be on $2,000 a month which is really $1,500 after taxes and insurance for 4 months until they are forced to pay you your 61hr guarantee after month 4. I would say this has been the case for 70% of people in training recently… Once you finish training if you are a commuter you will often fly into CVG for your trip and by the time you land scheduling has already taken it off your schedule (for whatever reason they make up) and assigned you short call reserve. Oh did I mention they will refuse to pay for your hotel room, yippy! I would say this happens about 3-4 times a week. Now don't get me wrong we have a great pilot group and the best chief pilot and assistant chief pilot you could ask for but they are completely hand cuffed by the army of Comair idiots running this place. Buyer beware

yup, CP and DO went to Soap begging for anything to help the 737 guys due to the rapid turnover, they were told your job is to hire and train, my job is to run the airline

Who/What is "WGA" ? Wish Gift Airlines, aka the "Career Destination of Choice ?"

Western Global- run by the Neffs, who also used to run Southern. Every resume they get that says "Southern Air" under employment must bring a smile to their face.

Guess people are leaving because wga is home based.. Because both the pay scales are pretty similar if i recollect..

Any rumors of what became of McHugh's trip to drum up new business?

Any reason for me to put in an application?
Hello, I live an hour south of CVG. I fly a Navajo for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, make $66,000 and am home with my family every evening. I am 45 years old with about 6200TT, 4300 PIC, 1000 PIC Turbine, 700 Jet, 2700 TT Turbine and am currently acting chief fixed-wing pilot. I may already know the answer, but I thought I would ask if it was worth me pursuing SA. Thank you so much for your time!

If you also had Comair on your resume you'd be a direct entry manager. Lol
