I've heard they are interviewing but not hiring.

Question....Do you think a pilot who has worked in a hub loading/unloading feeder trailers and has exp. driving said rigs with a good rehire status and applicable flight time would have a leg up at getting an interview etc?

yes. But go to AMR or FDX. Words of Wisdom.

Quote: FWIW, I talked to a psychologist that gives that test as a screener for police and firemen. She said it is only useful for determining honesty and psychopathic tendencies, and that if you don't fall into one of those categories, take it honestly and quickly and you'll do fine.
So what you're saying is UPS can use that test to determine if the interview will be for a line pilot position or a management position ?

Quote: Did you ever get a call to interview with UPS? My "active" application now has the "schedule" button and when I press it, I get the same message you did. Thanks!
Does anyone know what the "code" seems to be with the messages after filling out the application?

One person received a message that their application has been submitted. Another had the "Thanks for your interest, unfortunately ... " message. And, another has tried to update their info, to get the "This application does not need attention at this time." message.

All three qualified international 121 heavy pilots.

Thanks all!

Sounds like the post application codes are pretty self explanatory. What would generate each to three equally qualified pilots is a head scratcher. Welcome to the mystery wrapped within an enigma that is life at UPS

This is but their very first encounter with the 1960's computer hardware and programming at UPS. It's not so humorous after the first 20 years or so of dealing with it.

I really don't think they want line pilots here. I'm serious.. They're trying to make it as cumbersome and as difficult as possible so no one applies - that way they can say, "see? no one wants to be a line pilot here so we're "forced" to hire managers!"
