In this example (and there are several others) I agree with you that our sleeping rooms are clean, good size, secure, etc. A HUGE improvement from the past but then again, I double-Y trailer would've been an improvement from the past. However, even though you and I agree that those rooms are much better now - I and many others believe they COULD be improved some more with better sound- and light proofing and with individual temperature controls. Some people like to sleep in 70F temps while others sleep better when their rooms are cold. That's it, we are all different and there's nothing wrong with demanding more and/or asking for minor improvements. Especially when the union agreed to assist the company (ie. sound proofing project).

I'd never sue you because you're IPA. Every now and then I just disagree with you. See my posts, I've agreed with you on many occasions. IF I felt your posts were attacking me personally I'd try to approach you to talk it out, to resolve it or maybe I'd ask for us to agree to disagree. In worst case scenario I'd ask a fellow IPAer who might know you for help in resolving our disagreement. I'd never, under no circumstances, ask the company for help.

To summarize my disagreement with you and I'll leave this subject now - I respect your views and yes, I too like it here but I'm a realist and won't pretend things are wonderful when they aren't (in my view). I am hoping for improvements and most of all, I'm hoping that no matter what our views might be, I'm hoping we, IPAers and also our Fedex brothers and sisters stop attacking each other and stay strong and united. We have different priorities and perspectives. Let's vent but also let's respect our very diverse views. We all work very hard and should fight for great contracts but it'll only happen if we stay united.

108% IPA
And on that note we agree 108%.

Looks like FQS numbers are dropping overall. Yes, they've hired more recently and that, we all agree, is terrible, but the total number is decreasing. I was taught not to speak ill of the dead nor kick a man when he is down, but TB getting canned just improved our safety culture and improved the airline dramatically. I credit mgt for making that call and can only criticize them for not doing it years ago.

25+24 = 48? Kentucky math?
One of the first 25 wound up being a guy that returned from a long leave of absence. I'm not positive on the reason for his leave.

There is going to be a class at the end of March. My understanding is this will be composed of peeps from the latest 24 announced. The early March class is from the earlier 25 announced.

Prague, Hanoi, and Saigon service is starting as early as 4/11. I think those dates are in doubt now though. Bid packs for those dates are out but I didn't look for those cities. I'm not sure which AC will service which cities. This intel is not low level NURP stuff.

Keep in mind that we are hiring to cover attrition not just retirements. Night flying is hard on the body and really requires one to be proactive with their health. I see very few do that to the level required. Plus, while the market is performing very strongly guys are retiring early. Not mass exodus by any means but we do consistently see more retirements than required.

So what's a difference between attrition and retirement?

Retirement….Guys leaving at the required age of 65.

Just a fine point for sure, but retirement is part of attrition also. There is mandatory retirement, early retirement, and "other" ways of attrition such as medical loss of license, terminations, resigning from the union to downgrade to management and jump the line to captain, etc... ;-)

Hanoi? You sure? I've heard Saigon, but not Hanoi. That would be great if true. Especially a layover longer than 24 hours which seems to be the Norm around here Internationally. Which destroys your Health over time.

Also Heard Gatwick this Summer. And Rome going direct instead of the two legs. Or just Rumors from Nurps.

You sure the Intel is not from a low level Nurp??? Just looked at the Bid Packets that goes through May 17. Sorry, but No Prague, Hanoi, or Saigon.

Better go back to Quinn and ask for a clarification.
