I think that "New Hire" thingy gets attached to everyone when they first come on APC, and then changes after either a given amount of time, or after the person enters a given number of posts. Regardless, it has nothing to do with their date-of-hire at their current employer.

You sure the Intel is not from a low level Nurp??? Just looked at the Bid Packets that goes through May 17. Sorry, but No Prague, Hanoi, or Saigon.

Better go back to Quinn and ask for a clarification.
The easiest way to find out when a new city is planned it's watching your Op Specs bulletins for changes to C70. For instance, Santiago and Prague were just added/changed to regular airports in the last month. Pre peak, SFO and RIV were added/changed to regular airports a couple weeks before it was "announced" we'd fly there.

Ha...dream job guys! I'm only 26 and about 700tt hours. UPS is my dream job. I've worked in the offices for a few years helping out at another cargo airline but ultimately UPS is the company I would LOVE to retire with. I've jumpseated a few times on our birds and don't see how you all manage to stay awake and functional but it's still a job I would love to have .. You guys are very lucky. The reason why I posted though is because I have a question. Are the jobs with UPS typically offered ONLY to people with an internal recommendation? Just wondering...

Do you really think you will see planes here flown by humans in 35 to 40 years?

Not true. Staying awake is easy because we are exempted from feeling tired. Cargo pilots are immune from jetlag, stress, circadian rhythm disruptions, etc., etc..
The company AND the FAA says so and therefore it must be true.

They WILL be flown by humans but probably from a double-y trailer somewhere in eastern Kentucky...
