Quote: That flying is indeed old Silver flying. EAS usually goes out to bid about every two years. Silver rebid on all the routes but Via got the nod (cities not happy with Silvers performance numbers)...Boutique, Southern Airways, Contour, and ADI also bid. The last fleetplan showed a slower addition of 120's, but they are going to add some. With the FRG-IAG seasonal flights coming to an end, all Brasilias will be in WV and a new 120 will be brought on for the Niagara flying in spring.

KLWB is actually an E145 route to KCLT now.
O.K. thanks for the information, also back in july you mentioned about you were looking for 15 capt's and 15 f/o's for the 145's. May I asked what was the result finding that many folks? Are you still interviewing for pilots?

That was 15 total Captains on property and 15 Fo's to reach the company's idea of 2.5 crews per aircraft. The company upgraded a few guys and hired a street captain or two, but I feel like more staffing will be needed if we fly as much as they are predicting. They are currently attempting to hire more FO's for the 145, but until this week were set on basing them in Lewisburg, WV. Obviously, they got little response. They are back to looking for home based guys and want 3 more FO's on the 145 and 3 more captains on the 120.

By my estimation that puts us at around 12 Captains (counting CP and the Sim guy who never flies the line hardly) and 15 FO's. With only two guys meeting the mins to upgrade under 121 or being very close, I still see the need for another street hire captain and some more FO's to get to the 15/15. With turnover, even more hiring will need to happen.

Fleet plan is pretty optimistic with the AirX deal, but they will need to double our pilot group with the plans we are being told about on just this airframe. Add in the ideas for more fleet types and it's going to get interesting. The good news is that it seems upper management listens when we have ideas.

As before I appreciate you taking time to answer some of my questions, I just submitted my resume. A few day's back someone posted the lady I believe in HR that deals with pilot interviewing left for St Pete. Do you think it might be a while before I hear anything, or have they found someone to replace her? Again thanks for your time in replying!

She has agreed to work from home until they hire her replacement, so she is still accepting emailed resumes

What routes are the 145s flying vs. the 120s? Still homebased crews? Is pay the same regardless of aircraft? Thanks for your reply.

E145s fly charter trips to random locations for sports teams and one scheduled EAS route between LWB and CLT. Currently they are all home based, and E145 is paid more than 120

Did you all get the EAS out of SHD?

I heard we did, and I am unsure of when that route starts up. It will connect in CLT and BWI
