Correct. But of course, "facts" are just an inconvenience to PSA pilots. How in the bloody hell could they not know that AAG management is ex US Airways management?

I mean, I realize PSA pilots are somewhat disconnected from reality....Twenty years to interview at AA anyone?

But this seriously takes the cake.

Well when you hire 600 pilots within 12 months then you'll have that issue. That's why the SSP is supposed to increase to match the pilot group. Hence why we are meeting to increase the number.

That is mostly true. It is not like all LAA executives were fired, but the upper management is certainly LUS.

I think you guys give DP too much credit to think that he is intimately aware of the details of the WO regionals' hiring preferences and that he has some grand scheme, or vision for the regional carriers at AA. The truth is he probably had little idea the number of PSA pilots that move to AA every month. From what I've heard PSA was already in negotiations to improve the SSP, and from what I've seen come out of these Crew News Q&As legit concerns like this one are addressed. A new LOA might get fast tracked now because of that Captain's well articulated question/concern.

I honestly think that AA management has no long term plan for this shortage short of pushing for regulatory change (ATP rule). You can see it in the way they place these small band aids (signing bonuses, SSP, flow, commuter clause changes, referal bonus etc.) on this gushing wound and I think their labor relation advisors have them in complete denial about the impending operational meltdown that may come as soon as this summer.

I think that we both know that 20 years is just as far-fetched as 5 years is for Envoy. Neither is true.

Once you show me someone that has been at Envoy for 5 years flowing to mainline, I will believe you. Until that day... a day that will never come... I will continue to just call you a troll.

Come on guys, there are more players than Parker and Kirby.

Kenji Hashimoto was AMR before the merger and is now VP of Regional Carriers for AAG. Explain to me how is he USAir management? He is also likely most connected to the process.

I could be wrong but in the past it was not US Airways management that was against flow through, it was USAPA.

Quote: Incorrect. Doug Parker and AA have repeatedly stated that flow to mainline is their recruiting tool. Something they can offer new hires in lieu of increasing pay. This is public and has never been a secret.

Now, why PSA only has interviews and not a flow..I don't know. The fact that it will take a PSA new hire 20 years before they can interview doesn't seem to be a concern for Parker. His "I'll look into it" remark to your recruiter was like a dad tossling his little boy's hair and promising him he can drive the car tomorrow.

Parker knows it's 20 years. He knows everything that goes on and none of it is by accident. PSA's pilot numbers vs their 4 interviews a month resulting in a 20 year wait wasn't a surprise that just sprung up out of no where. Anybody with a calculator could have crunched those numbers a year ago. You don't think the head of the world's largest airline, a multi-billion dollar corporation doesn't know this?
What? He claims its his recruiting tool and claims he knows its 20 years? So he's stupid that wont recruit anybody. Facts are PSA doesn't have a recruiting problem I am sure the person in the video just wants it to go up and wanted to put public pressure on the guy. I didn't see the video, but I am sure the company wont address recruiting without it being a problem unless major givebacks are on the table. The PSA MEC and company negotiated it in the TA they wanted the senior votes to push it through. The "recruiting" angle is just a freebee sort of.

You guys do know that any 175s AAG buys has to go to envoy, per the contract, right? Not that AAG has any qualms with violating envoy's contract.
