Same Here. Looking for insight into MAC and the opportunity. Is the Normal Run Single Pilot IFR at Night? Around a 2000 Departure?

Van pilots don't fly that much, about 200-500 annually.

Departure times vary but it's mostly a night job. There are daytime flights, mostly out of MIA/FLL

Not a great time builder job since many van routes are to fly 30-60 minutes, sit around for 3-9 hours and fly back.

It's a good job to study or start a business. Think of it as a descent paying part time job.

I did the 121 gig, worked at FlightSafety, then part 91k. I havent been here long, but it has been a great experience so far. Good group of guys in the training department. Chief pilot is a good guy. I like the job even if its just a Cessna. PM me with specific questions.

Any comments on Total times for C208 Captains?

What do you mean when you say total times? You need 135 mins to get hired. As for the runs, the hours vary greatly depending on location. Some runs will get you a little over an hour per night. I have the longest run in the system and I do about 4.3 hours per night. I think someof the guys in the caribbean have longer days with a few more hours. I would say an average of about 400 per year.

You consider MAC provides you with better QOL than previous part 121 and 91 gig? Is it a good place to stay and make a career?

Much better than the 91. For me, better than the 121 regional. I would be willing to bet that it is not as good as being a CA at delta. But, to each their own. There are a lot of guys that have been here a very long time. The company leaves me alone and lets me do my job(as long as the job gets done). Very laid back enviornment. I like the place and have pretty much adjusted to working nights. The benefits are pretty good and there is room to grow here
