The 4 hours is no dependent on anything whether you deadhead or not... but you lose it if your trip starts afternoon or your trip ends before 1700.

Not everyone feels that way. There are holes and weak language in this contract. Haven't read it all so my decision to vote yes or no is still in ?

I heard carve outs to the min guarantee, gate show went from 45 to 60 mins, and that the company could demand an even earlier gate time based on certain conditions (1.5 hour for wx).

The fact that CAs are only getting 7% and that your pilots on probation get a vote would be enough for me to vote no personally.

The probationary voting is in the bylaws not the contract

Why would you allow probationary pilots to vote? That gives the company a huge upper hand.

Yeah.. There are quite a few of those..

One type is young kids, first airline, may be 1st real job, early 20's lots of Debt with student loan payments..

For them, an extra $11 per hour equals to $750 per month, which may be equal to the student loan payment..

I don't blame them at all for wanting to say YES..

The 2nd type is LIFERS, for whom the TOP pay went from 15 yr CA @ $96 to $116 and change..
They KNOW what all is wrong with the TA & those guys are going out there trying to convince new FO's to vote YES..

It is easy to explain to the new kids why it is a bad deal, It's the other category which is hard to reason with..

"The First Officer pay scales may be adjusted by the Company with or without modifying the remainder of the Agreement. However, the First Officer Pay scale will not exceed more than $41.00 in Year 1 without the agreement of the Union. The parties will meet and confer to discuss any such change prior to implementation."

So the airline gets to decide what half of the pilots make without the agreement of the union. That will give them complete ability to divide and conquer. There will be the union half and the company half. Basically the company will tell the captains to just suck it up, take what you get.

4 hours per day credit is not 4 hours per day credit.

If the trip starts after 1200 or ends before 1700 on the last day the 4 hours is out the window. If you have a 4 day trip that starts at 1pm and ends at 16:45pm the guarantee for the trip is only 8 hours.

8 hours guarantee for a 4 day trip. Did the union actually read this? Here is the exact wording so you can see if I am misreading it. I hope I am.

On each Trip for which a Pilot reports for duty, a Pilot holding a Regular, Composite or Consolidation Line will be guaranteed at least four (4) PCH per scheduled day for such trip (with the exception of a CDO as outlined below in B.1.d). For example, on a 2 day trip such Pilot will be guaranteed at least eight (8) hours of PCH, on a 4 day trip such pilot will be guaranteed at least sixteen (16) hours of PCH. A Pilot is only eligible to receive the minimum daily guarantee to include the first day of a trip (or if a single day trip) if he is originally scheduled to report prior to 1200 Home Base Time. A Pilot is only eligible to receive the minimum daily guarantee to include the last day of a trip if he is originally scheduled to be released after 1700 Home Base Time. For example, if on a three day trip a Pilot is scheduled to report on day one at 1500 Home Base Time, and be released on day three at 1800 Home Base Time, the Pilot would be guaranteed at least four (4) PCH for the last two days of his trip, or 8.0 hours.
