Landings is just giving money to pilots who don't or have never worked at SKYW. It's a scheme to recruit using company profits earned by current employees, nothing more.

Quote: Soft landings 2.0 is still a urban myth... maybe if a YES vote happens they it will appear to staff said growth... who knows.
No. It's not a myth, rumor, or otherwise. Read the SAPA updates. It's real and has been passed by SAPA. It's sitting on TG's desk awaiting his signature.

Quote: And AA. Maybe Delta.

Delta is definitely scoped out (along with UAL). And AA has room for about 70 more large RJs but only if they reduce the total number of RJs by 45. That's only a net gain of 25.

no further scope is necessary. The expansion is more about taking over what other Regionals are already doing. Mesa returned 10K hours to United, Republic are not able to staff some of their flying and XJT is about to be much smaller before shutting down......

There was a recent big order for 737s that allows united (I think it was them) to increase their RJ count. Not that I'm hoping for that since I'd like to move on in this lifetime.

Pretty sure the United scope relaxation is tied to another small narrowbody type like the CS100 or E190, not additional 737s.

Anyone have a recent vote count?

Quote: Not by much anymore, especially if we vote this down. Somebody has already told me that they might give the flying to XJT if this doesn't pass just to keep it with INC.

Don't be greedy. We aren't an LCC or Envoy (subsidized). If you want a raise, put your apps in.
You're doing it wrong. Look around the industry at total compensation. We are close to, and this package keeps us close to the bottom of the regional barrel.

Quote: I thought XJT was version 1.0..... 2.0 is rumored for other airlines... And your last statement is based off your opinion. Mine after talking to reps, CP. is maybe 1/10 of what a yes vote would be... maybe...
So you're basing you're vote off of talking to reps and CPs? That seems like an unbiased avenue for gaining insight
