I've worn Deerstags at work for more than fifteen years. The sole seems to wear out in about 1-1/2 to 2 years. However, they're inexpensive, provide good grip on very slick ramps, and look decent enough.
In fact, thanks for the reminder. Just ordered another pair.;) |

You’re looking for “overshoes.” Very common among the leather soled people out there.

Ariat Roper boots, with the composite shank. Keeps slush and de-ice fluid out of your socks and soles.

It saddens me that this comment got no love. Maybe it's a cultural thing because I am from Oklahoma, but my Ariats are the last work shoe I will ever own.

I’m a huge fan of the Ariats with the composite shank as well.
Agreed, however their only downside is the soles don't provide the best grip in snow and ice. |

Which style Deer Stags do you order? The different styles have many different soles for grip. They look pretty ideal (price wise and with a sole that grips) for a First Officer in the winter.

Red Wing farmer’s clodhoppers: because anything found in a barnyard will be present on the ramp too. ;)
