Hiring process timeline
I am still working towards my RATP minimums and should be done by March. My interview with Skywest is on Feb, I'm curious about how things work out after the interview. You then get a date to go to ATP-CTP training, how long is that? then from what I understand you do more training before you start off flying on reserve? How long does it take to go from the interview to being officially hired and flying aircraft?

Interview now and youll probably get a class date for April and A ctp date for early april. You complete CTP in 4 days or so, then you start class soon after (may a week or so) training is like 6-8 weeks in SLC or DEN, then you have a week - three weeks waiting for IOE, then you complete two 4 day IOE trips and a line check, then you're cut loose into reserve life. IOE is basically on the job training. So 2-2.5 months to get from setting foot in class to flying the real thing, and then one more month or less to being cut loose into the system.

I interviewed 11/18 and was hired 11/21. Did ATP-CTP 10-16 Dec paid for by SkyWest including transportation and lodging. Took my ATP Written after that but before starting indoc/GS/sims on 28 Dec. Due to finish 22 Feb with my ATP after check ride in the ERJ sim. I start IOE after that. Reserve to follow.

Got a call to interview less than a week after I applied. Two weeks from invitation to interview, which I spent studying the material in this photo full time.

I’m wanting to apply but won’t have my commercial until end of next month, multi shortly thereafter and will be at 1500hrs by April. Should I apply now or wait until I have commercial in hand? Great thread, thanks for letting me share.

I don't think Skywest will interview you if you don't have a multi-commercial.
