Hey guys, looking for some advice:

I'm a cadet with 1100TT (1000hr ATP mins), previously a CFI single and now at a single pilot 135 VFR Op flying T207s, hopefully starting to build turbine PIC time in the Caravan in the next month or so. My interview with OO was the day after everything got cancelled, so no CJO. Wondering how I'm gonna stack up against the 2000hr CFIs and other non-121 guys when the time comes. Do I just wait it out building turbine PIC in the Caravan or try to find my way into a SIC turbine-multi gig? Would there be much benefit to paying for CTP while prices are low or is it just a waste of money?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like Westwind?

apparently it is a big deal for some airlines.

What airline?

They're in a 65 seat configuration. I think there was an opspec, revision (not real sure, not infront of my ipad) explaining how many tails there were going through it until we have all the 700s on line.

Anyone have good information to where the 175’s for AA are heading? It looks like LAX is the rumor.

A year ago with the announcement from Chip, immediately we all thought LAX. A one for one replacement of Compass flying there. However, my bet is most or all in ORD. Maybe a DFW 175 base shows up, but I wouldn't be surprised if the initial cadre of 175s go to ORD. Even before covid happened, AA was planning sort of a reduction in LAX by virtue of the Alaska codeshare, and now with Jetblue. A few of our and former compass routes are reappearing in the bids as of the last few months, but LAX crews are mostly just sharing some of our PHX trips. ORD already has the pilot base in place, so that's why my wild a$$ guess is ORD initially, then maybe DFW. As much as I would like it to come to PHX to lure some senior folk away, I know in reality all it would do is take all our best overnights *and* just transfer in already-typed ERJ pilots and wouldn't be a net gain in my selfish point of view haha.

I want to say 4 sounds right, like the other poster said. My hunch is they would be the unmarked 900s that came off DL flying last year and were doing charters. 896SK and the others. Last night I saw one parked at B1, and when we got back from our standup I saw it taxi out. I think for a SBA, then LGB, then SLC. It looks like this, for anyone curious. Like they just painted over the Widget and the Delta name.

interesting stuff. Are these planes just temp then until more 700s come online?

I would venture a guess and say yes these are temps. If these were going under contract I would think they would have ran these through paint, etc. These tails came off doing charters pretty quick and put into AA service right away. Sounds like there were some gaps that needed filled quickly for whatever reason.
