How long are class dates currently being offered after the interview? Also, what do current training delays look like?

Class dates are being offered 4-6 months out and along the way you might be offered an earlier class date if you meet the required minimums. Training delays are sporadic. Most make it through without any delay but a few get delayed a week or three. Currently, the wait for IOE is averaging 1-2 weeks for ERJ and about 10-13 weeks for CRJ. These are just averages, always subject to change of course.

Holiday Pay

Memorial Day is the first company recognized holiday since I joined. PPM is vague on how this is handled. Any insights? Can you tell I'm bored waiting to fill all my training squares?!

One last thing that may or may not matter to you. Pretty much the whole training footprint for the ERJ is done in DEN. Locals that had their cars here seemed to enjoy life a bit better than those of us walking to the taco place again.

I usually take a car to long-term training. Or at least a motorcycle, season permitting.

One time I had to do a few weeks of sim in the east; I'd rent on weekends.

Hate being stranded at XYZ Suites.

Minor correction 4.3 hours of pay whether you are scheduled or not and don't call out on said holiday.... or the day before or after.

Even if you are between LOE and IOE and not a "real" pilot for SKYW?

Boise

What are the downsides of a Boise 175 FO base? It's a smaller base, in a city that is in the lower-half of housing costs for ERJ bases, but I keep seeing new hires awarded. Why? Growth, movement or no one wants it?
