Yep, I was the first in my class to finish IOE. There are many who finished after me who are now flying. Even people in entire classes after me…I’m now going on week 19 awaiting IOE. I have no clue how they pick who they call for IOE.

Hard to complain about getting paid to sit around but just looking forward to flying before I forget everything.

IOE is scheduled by your in class seniority, not who finished LOE first, but wow 19 weeks…

I think the most I waited for IOE when I was flying for OO was 3 days.

Not necessarily true, but maybe in theory. People can request IOE from specific domiciles or with specific LCAs (not always granted). The order IOE was scheduled for my class is all over the place.

I saw at least 2 others junior to me that had IOE trips on their schedule before the CRJ FO halt.

Did you pick a specific base or LCA for IOE? You’re shooting yourself in the foot doing that. I forgot they actually allowed that…

I had no preferences for IOE…just whatever is available. Many people junior to me were scheduled.

ERJ IOE wait times

Just wanted to update some of the information here. This is for ERJ First Officers only and things seem to be running reasonably smoothly. CRJ is still a long wait. I finished my LOE checkride on 4/16. My IOE schedule was emailed to me on 4/27 and my first flight was 5/3. I had one of the earlier finishes in my class (LOE dates ranged from 4/13-5/15 roughly, Paris sims finish 5/22). Generally the earlier you finished LOE, the earlier IOE was scheduled, as obviously I've done IOE flights before some in my class have even taken their LOE checkride. And for reference I am currently domiciled in ORD, but requested LAX for IOE which was granted. Requesting a different IOE location than my assigned domicile made no difference in timing. It was still roughly assigned in checkride order. Interestingly, the captain upgrades in my class have not really had their IOEs scheduled yet. I cant really explain it

I waited a month and half on the ERJ. CS called me and said I had never picked a IOE base. Figured my assigned base was my IOE base. Enjoyed my time off however.

Oh, see, ignorant FNG here. Sucks that's not the case, but still good (imo) to go ahead and get it done. Thanks for the heads up
