Must’ve changed then because I did it. I would agree the west coast bases are a whole different animal though.

There are a lot of variables at play but pretty much write off building much time in the first four months. CRJ or ERJ. Training/IOE is two months then reserve line which will vary by base. At a senior base expect sitting reserve for about 4-6 months and if it's during winter flying schedules you may only get 400 hours of flying in the first year.
Go-to a base like LGA or ORD you can bump that to around 600+ hours.
Best case scenario would be holding a line right off IOE. Lets say 9 months of holding a line in first year at 85 hours a month, that would yield 765 hours.
Most guys I know are hanging around 500 hours year one.
If your wondering what the upgrade time to captain would be on the ERJ?
I heard the lowest time at company ERJ captain was 3.5 years. I flew with a captain who upgraded around year 4.
CRJ, I couldn't really say for sure but seen as low as 1.5 years but that person already had previous CRJ 121 experience. Probably 2 or 2.5 years at the company with no previous 121 time would be realistic.

Seriously stop spreading misinformation....
These numbers are at the least inaccurate.
It doesn’t take 2.5 years to get 1000sic, even at 80hr/mo it would only take 12.5 months after training so 15 months starting from zero.
And that’s if you don’t try to push it. My first line was 85 block, 3 weeks off of IOE.
Math is hard.

Where are you based?. And I'm assuming you're CRJ, right?

So, I take it your LGA based on The ERJ? That's the only way you could have held a line three weeks after IOE. I was ORD based after training and sat reserve for three months and only flew 20 hours a month. I knew guys who flew even less during the winter months on reserve.
So in that first year, time building can be low on the ERJ.
The CRJ is totally different which my guess you are. If you actually read any replies on this thread you would see what I stated is not misinformation.

So your a CRJ FO, giving advice on how much flight time you will get on the ERJ. You're the one giving misinformation troll.

I’ve been averaging 85 hours a month in DTW as an FO. Sat one month reserve. CRJ side.
