Preparing for IOE

Don’t worry about the CTP, no studying required. The CTP class is designed to fill the knowledge gap between a 1500 hour CFI and a 1600 RJ F/O. Work on the actual ATP written test with Shepherd Air.

I almost think the OP is asking about stuff that might be covered in The Turbine Pilot's Flight Manual. You basic stuff like how a jet engine works, pressurization, etc...
OP get that book. I don't know how they teach new hires now, but when I went through they expected you to know all that stuff already.

Perhaps it's just having the idea of what communicating with ramp frequencies or communicating in the flight levels are like and just avoiding getting flustered.
I mean i'm brand new too but have had previous jet time and I've flown with captains that have said the kids that flown nothing but 172s around the pattern are easy to pick out compared to others with flight time above 18.

It would be a good idea to look at the stuff on SID and STARs if you are not familiar with them. Speed restrictions assigned by ATC as well as those that are charted, etc.. Perhaps that's what he meant?
And it should be pretty basic, but getting a clearance at an uncontrolled airport.
