Default College classes while working for Skywest

Hi all, is there any of you guys tried to attend college class ( not online ) while working for Skywest as a pilot?
Is it doable or too hard to coordinate between work and college schedule??
Thanks

You'd be crazy to not do it online.

You will never have a consistent schedule to build classes around. Traditional classes and airline lifestyle are not compatible with any airline.

Devils advocate he might be able to do it as a lineholder, since most classes are held on weekdays which of course go a lot more junior than weekends off.

But yea, online is the way to go.

As a more senior lineholder yes. Maybe staying FO in a junior base and starting college in a year or two after getting hired could work. Haven’t heard of anyone do that yet though.

Several senior SLC FO’s have done it. They only bid standup’s or weekend locals. It worked... but you would have to live in base and be senior...

What’s a reasonable amount of credits to take during a semester while in the regionals? What number would be considered comfortable and what would be considered too much?

A junior guy on reserve at a lot of regionals has more time available for online study than most college students who have a part time job. Many never break guarantee which is only ~75 hours a month. At some regionals (Horizon) a junior guy may actually only be flying five hours a week, excepting perhaps summer. Other regionals reserve times are shorter and junior people do more flying. It sort of depends...
