Default Skywest...Kind of... Best ORD Regional

As many of you can tell there are so many comments, opinions, and thoughts on best regional to fly for, I thought I'd ask again, in a different way:

1. Best regional to work for out of training and get ORD/LGA. I own places in both. Prefer to be a FO in ORD to start and would like to find a regional that has Jr FO's at ORD. Skywest seems to be one of them. Any others or suggestions?

2. Opened ended and bound to get a "search the threads" but there are so MANY. As of this year, in 1,2,3, for best QOL, Pay, holding line as a FO in terms of time. I don't really care about flow through, don't want to communte (ie. hold ORD/LGA).

Thanks,

Envoy. LGA and ORD are both junior even for Captains.
Fast upgrades.
Some resemblance to livable wages now with new rates.
Flow, even if its not relevant to new hires, guarantees movement at the top of the list, so very small risk for stagnation in base.

I’ve been ORD Envoy and SkyWest. I would ask what your 10 year plan is and if you want QOL the next 3 years. If your into QOL go SkyWest. If you want no QOL but a flow. (Maybe.. I wasn’t going to wait for what would have been 17 years... worked out for me) then go to Envoy but be ready for a ruff few years.. but if you want to stay east. I would go to Republic..

QOL at Skywest? Takes a long time to attain that. At any regional. With the lines they are building junior line holders here, ain’t gonna be QOL for a long time.

I'm more into QOL and ZERO commuting if I can help it. Since I own out right my places in ORD and LGA area those work for me. I figure I can pick up extra trips being close by and raise my income. This is going to be a 2nd career for me and financially I'm in good shape. Doesn't mean I don't want to earn but $'s are less important than QOL. I figure I have a 10 year career, so maybe fly regional 121, get good QOL, some seniority etc.

If you end up leaning NYC, then it's totally Endeavor or Republic.

Take a look at ExpressJet as well. From what I’ve been reading, you can probably hold ORD right out of training and QOL seems to be decent.
