Every eligible FO to be upgraded by year end
Per TG’s email the drama continues…
Is it a bluff? We seriously need every FO who has 1,000 or better 121 SIC to be forced upgraded by the end of the year? I knew we were understaffed in the left seat but holy FCK.

And every additional 121 SIC hour going to someone who already has 1000 hrs is one hour that can’t go to the junior FOs who need the hours to become upgrade eligible.
It isn’t cruelty, it isn’t punishment, it’s just math.

Preseumably there’s no shortage of new hires… ‘If you’re 100% not going to upgrade, get out and we’ll replace you with someone who might’ seems to be the logic.

While you’re at it, TG, why don’t you force the captains who are eligible to be LCAs. That way, the next wave of new hires won’t have to wait 6 months to start accruing those hours they will need to be forced to upgrade.

I feel bad for everyone else being forced into a position they don’t desire. I just don’t feel bad for you.

If the most constraining factor in OO flying their allotted hours is CA availability, it’s either get more CAs or shrink. The DEC pool is pretty much drained.

What’s important here is knowing the classic bait and switch routine by management hiding out in SGU. This may seem as if it’s a move to reduce the load for current CA’s on property, but we’re flying 60% of what we could be flying contractually. So what will most likely occur is more flying and now they got 2500 CA’s flying 90 hours of block per month instead of 1900.
