Anyone been through the ERJ schoolhouse in the last couple months? What do you have to say about the training (good/bad?). Tips on being successful would be appreciated

They give you everything you need to be successful. Take the instructor's advice to heart, and be honest with yourself about how much work you need to put in. Study with classmates. WHen i went through in Denver we were allowed to go into Flight Safety on our own 24/7 to use the procedure trainers to practice flows.

Work with your sim partner as much as you need to at the hotel in the off time, go through the lesson before hand every time. We would in the morning over breakfast. THey give you the entire lesson plan beforehand so there are zero surpises ever. Even for your LOE, you will have all 3 scenarios beforehand, your esxaminer just picks one day of or might tell you the day before.

Take it one phase at a time, Don't be thinking about LOE when you're in systems ground, etc.

The worst part is probably getting different instructors for each lesson, you'll have to adapt to their different styles. Dont't get upset when one tells you something is completely wrong than the one you had previous session. It is going to happen, you have to adapt and move on; and use the briefing time to discuss such things not in the simulator during the flight portion. They are very strict on the alotted sim times and if you spend time getting caught up on a minor detail and can't finish the lesson, puts you in the territory of a possible add session.

Although getting a single add session isn't really a world-ending scenario, you'd much rather get it because you want to cover stuff you've already learned instead of to finish lessons you couldn't before.
