I wouldn't plan on any flexibility on reserve. If you get some, cool, but planning on holding another job could be risky (unless it's a very flexible job),

I have the best luck trading weekend days off for weekdays. I commute to reserve and prefer to have large blocks of days off. I have been on reserve for a long time with no end in sight.

Anyone heard anything about the CA who was/is missing from last night in SBP? We left here this morning and the other crew in the van was talking about it. Just seeing if anyone heard something, I was unaware of anything till they said something early this morning, but what they said was he told his wife he was thinking about going surfing. She tried calling his cell and the room later last night, and no answer. She called cops to go check on him, and when they entered the room, he was not there, but his wetsuit and wallet and suitcase were all still in the room.. And as of 530 this morning, nobody heard any resolution. Apparently his show was not till mid morning today...

Ok, in case anyone was wondering, it turned out to be a non event.
Apparently, he was out till late and his phone had died. All the craziness happened before he came back last night.

In my opinion, this is not the place to post supposedly exact events you "heard" in the crew van concerning a fellow crewmember. There are other avenues to take if you are "truly" that concerned.

It probably would had helped if you left the major details out. If you were that concerned about it i am sure it would have been on the SAPA forums if it was an "event" and you could have read about it there or made a post.

Ok buddy. the "truly" comment, it's pretty bogus.
By saying it that way you're suggesting:
1) that I'm some sort of gossip queen who is just looking to make a name for myself on the forums
2) I'm trying to make someone look bad publicly (especially since I didn't post any names, and it would take someone a pretty good bit curious with access to SWOL to figure out what crew members were over nighting there.) For some odd reason. Maybe just for sh$$$ and giggles.
3) I'm airing someone's dirty laundry for kicks
4) Something else quite as ludicrous
