Has anyone heard about this? Skywest and AA

The TA doesn't have to pass! Look at AA, make no mistake the company would rather operate with a contract than under 1113.

No idea who that is. He has nothing to do with either company. He is a manager for US Air. Not upper Management either. But he sad this is what he has heard. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this. I have not paid attention to what is happening over there because I have enough to worry about.

Skywest inc own or leases the largest fleet of aircraft in the world? Out of those 700ish over 500 have 50 seats or less! I am not bashing Skywest but please stop drinking the cool aid.

I bet you also didn't know that SKW doesn't own the ExpressJet Legacy Embraers.

Lool!!! Skywest is just another regional Tony...they are at the mercy of the majors.
Looks what happened to Comair and Pinnacle. Eagle is big now, and will be reduced in the next years.
What makes you think that Skywest will be the one calling the shots? What if Delta takes the contracts from ASA side?

Nobody knows how many 50 seaters are due to be parked! United will unveil a new fleet plan for the regionals and SKW has to be careful and not shut it self out because when the leases come up for 50 seaters they might have to be parked and no replacements will be available due to SCOPE. GoJet was born and United embraced it, don't think by one minute that United won't help create a new regional if it means getting the feed on heir terms, same with AA who has a certificate that is about to become empty on top of another certificate that is not talked about but they keep it available. Also I said SKW inc, I wasn't referring to SKW airlines but the whole corporation. I think you might be on a sugar high from the cool aid and is hindering your reading skills.

Kool-Aid aside, I'll bet on SkyWest before any other airline. You guys are just haters. 5 years ago, they could have bought UAL. Instead they loaned them 80 million at 11% interest. When the RJs are gone, SkyWest Airlines will still exist and be profitable. That's the only thing in this industry you can count on.

Captain tony it is! Largest Skywest online jack wagon of the year award.
It's not common knowledge... It's SEC filings for the RFPs that were issued by AA and USAIR. SkyWest Inc is doing the flying as loss minimization. Its more expensive to park the airplanes and pay the leases due than it is to get a contract under operating costs and still fly them.
