Kool-Aid aside, I'll bet on SkyWest before any other airline. You guys are just haters. 5 years ago, they could have bought UAL. Instead they loaned them 80 million at 11% interest. When the RJs are gone, SkyWest Airlines will still exist and be profitable. That's the only thing in this industry you can count on.

Man calling haters and everything. Take it easy.

I won't bet in any REGIONAL Airline. AA had 6 billions in the bank before going bankrupt.

Your "understanding" about the 200s is incorrect. If you think SkyWest Inc will ever bid a contract below cost, you know nothing about SkyWest Inc.

The Skywest/Airtran flying in MKE was a money losing venture. Skywest actually shared in the ticket revenue (or lack there of). It was not "cost plus".

Most of them were just abusing Captain Tony for being an insufferable koolaid drinker.

ERJ-145? Let me guess... L-XJT?

Hope you're senior enough to avoid furlough next year.

Do you even read posts or just attack everyone who has anything bad to say about SKW? He stated in post #9 where he works.

I think you're wrong. SkyWest Inc owns the largest fleet of aircraft in the world at 710 aircraft, (UAL is #2 at 708), and almost a billion dollars cash in the bank. SkyWest Inc. will be calling the shots for the foreseeable future.

Are you sure? Delta has over 720 airplanes. It's scheduled to surpass 780 over the next several years.

He said that the Skyewest deal with AA to fly the 900's fell through last week and they are looking searching again for an operator.

He also told me that the BK team at AA hired Menke as a consultant.

Can anyone confirm any of this or have you guys heard about any of this? Sorry for the Wild rumor.

Nah. AA guys were in ATL GO last week. All left the meeting with smiles on their faces!

SkyWest performs a significant portion of their flying as at risk and does so at a profit, according to their VP of Market Development.

That's mainline...

Many DCI jets are also owned by Delta and placed with DCI operators.

I'm guessing some of the jets Tony is counting are owned by DAL but placed at SKW Inc.

If you don't know why that matters, go ask a Comair pilot...

Cheers
George

P.S. Alaska owns the Horizon jets...
