Skywest buys 5 CRJ900's with NO flying
Well I heard this rumor and verified it with my contacts in St. George. Why would Skywest buy 5 CRJ900 aircraft in the hopes of earning a codeshare? I assume these were for US airways but we all know that Mesa was awarded that flying. These 5 airplanes are sitting in Tucson and are still painted in the Air Mekong colors. If these 900s are just sitting around, for a total of approx. $750,000 in payments a month without earning revenue. Wondering what the plan is for these?

Didn't Skywest lease the CRJ900s to Air Mekong? Air Mekong went Tango Uniform, so they probably just took them back.
