Exactly, they don't ask "Do we have the right amount of fuel on board to depart?" They ask, "is it ok to close the door?"

It makes sense to get paid for duty time. Not only for flight attendants but pilots as well. I'm surprised this isn't brought up more often. Why doesn't ALPA push for this?

Because this is something that would mostly help the junior pilots with the less efficient trips. Look at the block hours of a 4 day that goes senior compared to the 4 days that are left over for the bottom line holders.

Because alpa doesn't care about regional pilots' problems. Just give them your f*cking money and shut your mouth.

Start your own union. You can't make everyone happy. Pilots long ago conceded higher hourly wages per flight hour versus duty hour.
