I don't remember anything mentioned specifically about that. But with few exceptions they seem to interview for classes 1-2 months out. I'm sure one could argue that applying to every new requisition for months shows interest and determination - and it may - but it sounded like the odds of being called to interview more than a few months before availability are fairly low.

I believe it was 650 per year for 2019 and beyond. He did say that SWA does not invest large amounts of money without reason, makes me think they are planning something big once the new training facility is complete.

650 per year and beyond is much better. I had thought "650 in 2019 and after" or "hiring in 2019 and beyond until reaching 2019" or similar negative-toxic-nobody-will-hire-me thinking.
Thanks for the positive energy guys

I have a specific question I forgot to ask at the event. On the pilot questionnaire the following question is asked:
"23. Have you ever been a Check Airman, Line Check Airman, Stan/Eval, NATOPS evaluator in a Jet/Turbine/Turbo Prop Aircraft? List Aircraft Type & effective dates. FAA, Company, Military Certification Document or similar must be produced at interview."
I do NOT include any of my helicopter time in my turbine time on my application or resume. My rotary wing background is military instructor, instrument examiner/evaluator and senior instructor pilot. I originally answered "No" but after talking to someone I changed it based on the "Turbine" aspect of the question.
Any thoughts or insights?
