Practically, yes. But it could be any reserve passing through DAL. Nothing says they can't.

PM line holder here. No OT last two months and each is 120 TFP with 15 days off. I'm a high time flyer to get those numbers (I live 1 hr 40 mins away driving). I'm at about 900 block last 365, but I typically am able to have at least a week off every month through adjusting my trips. I like off time.

You really can vary your schedules. I never bid AM's for example--which in my domicile gets me a hard line (weekend trips) and I'm less than 100 from the bottom of the FOs in base.

I'm a junior reserve guy and have been averaging 110 TFP and 14-15 days off. I haven't picked anything up in OT.

Good info and thanks.

I live outside of LAX. From what Ive read, OAK, LAS and PHX are junior and presumably I could pick up in any of those bases?

Doesn't sound to bad being able to fly out of Burbank to any of those.

Working does not bother me a bit. Im a high energy person and I can't stand sitting around.

Also, LAX will PROBABLY become a base soon, but that's not something to make a career decision on, however.......

One other thing... I don't think LAS and PHX have been that junior lately. Many newhires in BWI and MCO now... but worst case, you'd be able to get back to OAK in your second month most likely.

Don't forget that we operate from LAX, BUR, SNA, LGB, and ONT as well. You may have more commuting options than you think depending on your initial base award.

Any "new" hires out there in OAK who wouldn't mind posting what your last couple months looked like? Curious to see what your flying is like.

No one here would be surprised if an LAX base opens in the next few years. I'm SoCal and the commute to OAK is easy.
Some food for thought...

My hardline after IOE, I had 132 tfp. Granted, I ELINT the heck out of it and picked up 2 trips out of open time. Also, as a reserve OAK FO, I'm almost at 120 tfp without picking up any open time
