lol this is literally just everyone telling you where they went to college.

Let me try to help you.

here are some key questions that need to be asked

first off where do you live right now

Are you willing to move

Would you consider an online school

Are you trying to get an aviation related degree

What is your budget

Those are just some of the questions that need to be answered.

True in a way, I just enrolled to California Coast University, and why was cost, they are cheaper than Riddle and UVU, which i have attended both, an AS with ERAU. CCU also accepts ATP and ratings and life experiences, military in my case also and its all online. It is self paced, with no traditional semesters. CCU is not an aviation school, as is UVU and of course ERAU.

I'm not saying a 4 year degree isn't important or won't make you more competitive but a friend of mine was recently hired with only an Associates degree in the current competitive environment. He did however have the Line Check Airman box checked from his former 121 regional job.

I second this. I know 5 SWA Captains off the top of my head that don't have 4 year degrees so it does happen.

This is me esssentially. Interviewed recently and only have the associates. I do however have the LCA and did maintenance on SWA planes for a MRO in Everett, Wa. before flying.
