CJO
At what point should the CJO be considered an offer? In other jobs, I have received an offer letter to sign. Does this happen here? My class is on 8/8 and I need to give my current employer two weeks notice and I want to do it soon so I can wrap things up at home.

I received a "Contingent Offer Letter" via e-mail about a week after the CJO phone call from a chief pilot. I imagine you did, also. I think that's about as close to a "formal" offer as you get. Unless I'm mistaken, it's always going to be a contingent job offer up until you start class. Others please correct me if they've experienced something different.

It's a contingent offer until your background check is completed, which could be after you've started class. There is not anything to sign accepting the job, you just show up to class. Welcome aboard.

Here was my timeline:
I interviewed 28 March with an early April CJO call. Within a week I received an email letter that I had to print, sign, scan and send back. Just this week I received another CJO letter that I had to sign electronically (nothing to print out - through iCIMS)
Class start date 1 August.
Hope this helps.
