Yup. FO would be able to get a full swing of up-elevator during the flight control check. Fake news.

He needs to check more. My class had a 28 year old from a commuter. We also had a 54 year old from a fractional. The rest were 30’s to 40’s.

No. Internal recommendations are not even looked at until the review board after your interview. I have never had one and I'm here, and I know I'm not alone.

No you don’t, but when you get the interview they ask for 3 internals, whether on not that effects anything at that point is anyone’s guess I’m sure there are ppl without them. I recommend getting on LinkedIn , chances are you have people you’ve flown with or known you st southwest

They ask for 3 recommendation letters, not internals. They should be from people who know you and flew with you to attest your character and flying skills (ideally). Those are the 3 people they will call after your interview as part of the background check. These obviously can be Southwest employees, but by no means it's a requirement. As I mentioned before, I had 0 internal recs and I know plenty of others like me.

I applied to the current window that closes 4/8. What are my chances?

12,000 TPIC
17,000 TT
CRJ LCA
41
Clean record

Been on the CRJ since 2001 captain since 2004. Will that hurt my chances?? Any interview advice I would greatly appreciate. Specifically how to answer “why so much time, why now?”

I’m thrilled and humbled at the thought of working for the best airline out there.

Thank you!

I highly suggest you spend the time and money on a resume and application review. I did, and they made my resume look 100, and caught some small errors I made on my app.
