Well the goal is always to pass. I hope the study skills the military has imparted on me will get me through.

As someone that was in your shoes almost 20 years ago, let me assure you it’s not a sure thing. Part 121 training is a different animal when all you know is the military way. I passed, but it wasn’t a cake walk. Jepp charts, phraseology differences (what the hell is a V1 cut... it was always an EFAR to me), not a lick of jet time, and very little automation familiarity compound a stressful situation. Do your part and know the stuff your supposed to know cold so that the “stuff” is manageable.

Sounds like a p-3 life to me.

FYI, I just got word from a bud who used FTI in Miami and had a TERRIBLE experience on his ATP ride. Apparently there are a few good people there but the head guy who runs the place and also gives the ATP ride was an overbearing jerk, was constantly on his phone, did not follow the practical test standards, and rescheduled sim rides to accommodate his picking up trips at his airline gig among other things. Buyer beware.
