Feedback on FTI and K and S
#2
I used FTI back in 2015. They still had classic sims in Denver at the United facility at the time.
I used them for the short duration of the course and for the price. Now that the classics are gone, I heard the price jumped a lot.
It’s a fire hose of information in 7 days but I enjoyed the training.
Good results.

I appreciate both of your concern. Both K&S and FTI are GI Bill approved and that is what I'll be using, so it's no cost to me. I want to do it, for me and that's pretty much it. I was just looking for recent feedback on both schools.

Disregard my comment then, good luck!

FTI as of five years ago was still home study followed by 121-style sim training events. You had to be paired with someone to get on the schedule, so availability may be an issue?
Probably worth a phone call to find out for sure.

Except there is a cost to you, an opportunity cost. Not sure of your particular situation but I transferred my Post 9/11 GI Bill to my kids. It will pay out more than what that 737 type will cost. Just the BAH portion alone is $54K (36 months at $1500 per month, could be more depending on where the school is located). You are giving up a lot of money using it on a 8-10K type rating. If you’re single and can’t transfer it use it to get your Masters. That’s a great back up plan to have in todays environment and the BAH you’ll get every month is icing on the cake. Just food for thought, the type rating is not needed to get on here with Southwest and I’d almost argue that having a masters degree looks better and will definitely open up more doors outside of flying.
