Default Keep Reapplying?

I was invited to interview with SWA some years ago and got the TBNT letter, but please reapply in a year footnote. I have reapplied several times but keep getting the "you were considered but not selected for interview at this time." My current flying position is no better nor worse than it was when I was selected for the interview so I'm wondering, is it even worth my time to keep reapplying? They made the decision once to reject me - any reason they would change their mind? Of course, no one really knows for sure, just wondering about opinions.

My opinion only. I don’t know the intimate inside details of hiring...

If you want to work there, keep applying at every window. If you make it to the interview, be ready to explain why you think you didn’t get through the first time and what has changed since then. I had two guys in my interview group on their second try and one made it through. That’s a 50% chance, which was about the same success rate of the group as a whole. Chances are zero if you don’t keep at it.

SWA LOVES (hahaha!) pilots that keep trying. I read, some years ago, that they hired a guy on his SEVENTH interview!!!

It really all boils down to how you present yourself to the interview panel. Once you've been selected for the interview, your qualifications start to take on less importance. The very fact that you've been through the process once will change how you present yourself the next time, and that could be the difference needed to push you through to the next step. And you'll never get that 2nd chance if you don't reapply.

PS...You'll need to consider how to make your profile look different, as in check more boxes, to be considered for a 2nd chance. The "what have you been doing in the meantime" question can factor in when selecting candidates to be invited for subsequent interviews.
