This is a good time for low paid mechanics to strike, not many around want to scab for nothing. SWA already pays double the rate most other guys are getting. They could have an experienced work force hired and trained in 90 days. Remember, maintenance is not skilled labor!

I personally believe a well compensated mechanic who knows his stuff is kind of a lynchpin in the operation. Seems like SWA management is taking mechanics for granted and I hope we don’t pay too big of a price for management’s shortsighted penny pinching and adversarial conduct.
